Our Firm has represented charter schools and a charter school management
company in the leading cases on the Pennsylvania Charter School Law. We
successfully represented a charter school in Pennsylvania's Commonwealth
Court and Supreme Court in the first case to consider the key provisions
of the Charter School Law. We defended another charter school and a
management company against a school district's attempt to invalidate the
school's charter, and we won a ruling from the Supreme Court of
Pennsylvania compelling the school district to provide transportation and to
pay per pupil subsidies to the charter school and barring school districts
from bringing lawsuits to challenge charters. We also have represented
Pennsylvania's largest cyber charter school in numerous cases and
persuaded the Commonwealth Court to reverse an injunction entered against
the school. Our attorneys have spoken at conferences and been quoted
frequently by the press concerning issues facing charter schools.
