Our Firm represents professional clients in a broad range of professional
liability and malpractice matters. Our lawyers evaluate, counsel and defend
or pursue claims of malpractice for a wide range of professional clients
including accountants and accounting firms, attorneys and law firms, corporate
directors and officers, employee benefits consultants, financial consultants,
brokerage firms, and health care and medical providers, including hospitals,
clinics, physicians of all specialties and the Pennsylvania Catastrophic
Loss Fund.
For example, on the plaintiffs' side, we won a groundbreaking decision by the
Supreme Court of Pennsylvania recognizing a cause of action for malpractice against
expert witnesses. We also persuaded the Supreme Court of Delaware to affirm the
removal of a major financial institution as the trustee of a family trust of
which our client was a beneficiary.
On the defense side, we are regional counsel to an international accounting firm;
and we have represented that firm in malpractice actions complaining of its failure
to identify embezzlement by the audit clients' employees. We also represent the
firm in connection with a suit by a 50% shareholder of a privately held company
complaining of the accountant's alleged failure to provide him with information
concerning the operation of the company by the other shareholder.
